PE, Sport & the Sport Premium in our school
Through Physical Education and sport we aim to:-
Improve fitness, health and well-being.
Promote active participation and lifelong learning.
Allow each child to fulfil their potential in physical activity.
The school receives additional funds to support the development of Physical Education and Sport in school (Sport Premium). This money is in addition to the curriculum funding for PE and Sport from the main school budget.
The way in which we intend to spend our 2019-20 Sport Premium of £18,020 can be found by clicking here.

In 2018-19 90% of Year 6 were able to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres using a range of strokes effectively and were able to perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations.
At Riddings Junior School all Year 4 pupils experience half a year of swimming lessons for 1 hour a week. These are taught by qualified swimming coaches. The significant cost of swimming lessons is fully met by school and this currently includes transport costs of £4252 in order to ensure that all pupils access the lessons.
