Child Tailored Support
Child Tailored Support
Wellbeing mentors use their knowledge of children and skill set to support students to manage their emotions and behaviours in an extensive range of circumstance. Wellbeing mentors support using a wide range of resources and skills to support children who may be experiencing difficult times. This could include bereavement, parental separation, behaviours, friendship issues, anxieties, and mental health support.
Children are accepted onto the Wellbeing Mentor support caseload through various pathways. This could include teacher or parental referral. Wellbeing mentors also spend time with children in class and this enables us to develop relationships and have a greater understanding of children’s individual needs.
