Q: Can you give my child medication during school hours?
A: Yes. We are able to administer medication during the school day, provided a medication permission form has been completed by a parent or carer in advance.
The form can be found at the bottom of this page. Once completed, please ensure the medication is clearly labelled with your child’s name and handed in to the school office.
Q: What happens if I am late collecting my child from school?
A: We understand that, on occasion, parents and carers may be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, such as traffic or collecting children from other local schools.
Collection Times
Years 4 and 5: Collection time is 3:20pm
If your child has not been collected by 3:30pm, they will be taken to the school office.Years 3 and 6: Collection time is 3:30pm
If your child has not been collected by 3:40pm, they will be taken to the school office
If you know you are running late, please contact the school office as soon as possible on 01773 528492. If a member of staff is unavailable to take your call, please leave a message on the school answerphone.
If a child has not been collected and we have not heard from a parent or carer, we will begin contacting parents and carers from 3:40pm. To help us manage this safely, please ensure that three emergency contacts are listed and kept up to date on your child’s school record.
Q: What does my child need for Forest Schools?
A: Children take part in Forest School during Years 3 and 4. Sessions go ahead whatever the weather, so it’s important that children come prepared with suitable clothing to keep them warm, dry and comfortable.
Please ensure your child brings the following items with them on Forest School days. If you have any difficulties providing any of the clothing listed below, please let the school know – we are happy to help where possible.
Forest School Kit List
- A warm, water‑ or shower‑proof coat (an older one is ideal)
- Jumper or sweatshirt
- T‑shirt
- Trousers or jogging bottoms
(No jeans please – they become very uncomfortable when wet) - Wellies, walking boots or old trainers
(Please pack these in a separate carrier bag) - One large bag - clearly labelled with your child’s name, big enough to hold all of the above
(Shopping bags work perfectly)
